Today is Emily's 100th day as a full-fledged citizen of the earth. Succumbing to a lot of fan pressure (CWang) and to commemorate this momentous occasion, I'm making another entry. In the past two weeks, Emily has been busy getting cuter and cuter. She learned how to laugh, and at times laughs uncontrollably. It's the sweetest sound in the whole world to her parents. For her three month birthday, Grandma and Granpa bought her an entire crib set - what a spoiled brat. She looks so tiny in it!

EmK has decided that the one arm salute is getting old and now like to ball up her hand together in front of her. She's becoming quite girly.

What else did she do? She learned how to not pay attention while daddy reads to her . . .

But for good reason, she's become SOOO attached to her mommy. She can't go for more than a couple of minutes by herself, in anyone's arms (especially mine) before she lets you have it. Only when mommy comes to the rescue does she stop on a dime, it's quite amazing. A bit envious, but mostly so amazed at the early attachment. Mommy literally could hold her upside down by her pinky toe, and Emily would just laugh. If it put one finger in the wrong place when I hold her, the world comes to an end.

But occasionally, she'll humor me . . .

We've been having a blast dressing her up. The bunny hat (thanks Marla, oh & Cherryball) is one of our favorite, as well as pulling up her stocking socks up to her knees. Since she's been wearing my pants, my favorite is to tuck her pant legs into her long socks - she looks like a fly fisher.

She especially enjoys dressing up . . .

Also in the past two weeks, Emily attended her first business meeting!

But quickly decided she didn't like the discussion topic, started making demands and had to be led out of the room . . .

But of course the big event was the 100th day. Although it turned out to be just another quiet, lazy Sunday (which we love!).We decided to keep it pretty quiet and have a family dinner (especially since Emily's Grandma from Taiwan arrived in time!). Emily slept through the whole thing. Poor thing, she seems so attached to mommy/spoiled that I decided to start disciplining her this entire weekend. She cried so much that she was exhausted. Then Polly showed me all these articles, that AGAIN say that babies cannot be held enough in the first 6-12 months of life. So feeling very guilty, I banished myself to the office to update this page:). We've decided that her training is indefinitely postponed, and starting tomorrow, I again can shower her with love 24/7! Here are some pics of how Emily spent her 100th day - playing with momma and pappa in bed, snoozing a little in her new crib . . .

LOOK AT THAT SMILE!!! (and those socks . . .)
